Wendi Townsend is a Baltimore native comic who has been in the comedy scene since 2009. Working her way through open mics, opening for local headliners, nationally touring headliners (Gilbert Gottfried, Pauly Shore), to headlining shows herself. She’s now one of the state’s most successful show producers. Selling out venues she’s partnered with by building the best lineups, utilizing the best promotional tools and of course, show execution.
Wendi’s goals are to make the shows as entertaining and successful for all parties involved. The end result should always be that we had fun and made money.
Wendi has also partnered with liquor sponsors who aide in execution by having drink specials and add additional promotional tools for the venues to profit from.
Adding Wendi and comedy to the expansion of Starleigh Entertainment was decision that went unquestioned. Comedy is one of the most successful entertainment avenues and it adds value on off-season times because it’s the perfect indoor event.
